Nathan Haas originally represented Australia in two UCI World Championships as a mountain biker. However, in 2009, Haas moved to road racing. Haas won stage 2 of the Tour of Oman in February 2018, an uphill sprint finish. He placed fifth overall. He went on to place first in stage two and points classification in the Tour of Oman the same year.
